You ever have that moment where your scrolling through your emails and you stumble upon an email that catches your eye?  I mean, we all have emails and we all are constantly deleting, replying, and sending mail to junk.  I remember the day when I was extremely busy at work and this particular email came to my inbox.  In the subject, it had read:  Joy FM Radio Interview.  Now, I don’t know about you, but it’s not everyday that you just get asked to be interviewed, let alone, on the RADIO!  I had to take a double take as I wanted to make sure it wasn’t sent to me in error.  When I had opened the email and noticed that it was indeed sent to me, I was BEYOND excited.  This was another chance for me to share with the world my story, my purpose and to SPREAD THE WORD.

When I went in for my radio interview which was at Spirit FM 90.5, I was greeted by Danielle.  She was kind enough to give me a tour of the facility and to calm my nerves a bit.  Danielle was super AWESOME with the kindest soul!

  It was pretty cool seeing my name flash across the screen at the radio station as my interview was on air.

  My name is up on their playlists.  I feel so honored!  This was truly an amazing experience and one that I will never forget.  I want to thank John for the interview as I wouldn’t have been able to make it through without him!

So I thought that I was just sharing my story to get the word out there about foster care, but to my surprise, it turns out that Spirit FM 90.5 is doing a challenge called Backpacks of Hope.

Backpacks of Hope will provide 2000 foster children their own personal pack of hope. What is hope? Hope for these children would be having these “comfort bags” for stuffed animals, snacks, toiletries and a personal LCD night-light to help shine some light on their fears when they travel from home to home.  If you would like to know more about this worthy cause, you can visit http://www.spiritfm905.com/ and click on the SPREAD THE WORD 2014 section.  You can make online donations and no amount is to big or too small.
